Maximize your dog's training with Hundstaff's weight harness
Forest walks, swimming or jogging? no matter how you train your dog to keep it in shape, training requires knowledge, the right diet and high-quality training equipment.
Weight harness is a training tool designed to strengthen the dog's neck muscles, chest muscles, abdominal muscles, and endurance, which gives your dog a more well-balanced workout and increased muscle strength.
The harness is 5 cm wide and the weights are made of steel. The harness is made to hold and give your dog a comfortable fit. Each weight weighs approximately 300 grams, and the number of weights varies depending on size:
- Size M ? 7 weights - total 2.1 kg (excl. harness weight)
- Size L ? 9 weights - total 2.7 kg (excl. harness weight)
- Size XL ? 13 weights - total 3.9 kg (excl. harness weight)
- Size XXL - 15 weights - total 4.5 kg (excl. harness weight)
How to use the weight harness?
To achieve the best results, it is important to use the weight harness correctly. The harness puts pressure on the dog's front and back, so we recommend that you examine the dog's elbows before you start using the harness, this is to know what you have to work with and to avoid injuries and wear and tear. If the dog has problems with elbows, we advise against using this harness.
The dog should be able to perform its normal movements with the weight harness on and training should start with just one weight and then gradually increase. We recommend that you increase the weight after 2-3 weeks.
Remember to load the weight correctly. Start by placing one weight in the middle of the harness, and when it's time to increase the weight, add two weights - one on each side.
Pay attention to how your dog reacts to the training and make sure it doesn't show any signs of pain or discomfort.
Just like for humans, balanced exercise and diet are important for the health and well-being of dogs. Therefore, remember to maintain a balance in exercise and diet. Start with a little weight and short walks, and then increase gradually. Dietary supplements can also be a good complement for your dog.
Choosing the right size:
Measure the dog behind the front legs and up around the chest where it is largest. Remember to leave some space. Based on the measurements, choose the size of the harness, see the size chart in the pictures. Not sure how to measure? Watch the video below.
