If your dog has a neck circumference of 42 cm and a head circumference of 44 cm, both sizes 45 (35–45 cm) and 50 (40–50 cm) will fit.
Keep in mind that the dog's head circumference, where it is largest, must be at least as large as the maximum size of the collar in order for you to be able to put it over your head.
In this case, the dog's head circumference is 44 cm and the maximum size for size 45 is 45 cm - therefore it fits.
However, if the dog's head circumference is 46 cm, you should choose size 50.
Which width suits which dog?
The width of the collar is a matter of taste, but we recommend that larger dogs have wider collars.
- 5 cm wide – Suitable for example Amstaff, Bully, Rottweiler, Cane Corso, German Shepherd, Malinois, Mastiff, Ridgeback, Labrador.
- 4 cm wide – Suitable for Dobermann, Boxer, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, etc.
